Please stop asking vague questions all over the forum. If you have a project and need help do that:
1- start a new thread in the "ongoing projects " or in a related category.
2- Tell us what you've done till now,
3- Ask specific questions, on specific topics..

What do expect when you ask "how the does the robot work" you think someone will copy paste a book on robotics2669

You need to provide clear information:

what type of drive system do you use2669 differential2669

Hello!
I'm studying electronics at university and I have started building a linefollower just for fun of it. I'm using resources that are available to me, trying to buy as few parts as possible. Currently my robot is exists only as an almost finished program, but my plans for it are as follows:
1) 6 sensors (due to 6 adc inputs)
2) Steering with stepper motor - I know it's not the best thing, but I wanted to try working with them
3) Atmega8 microcontroller

As currently I'm working with the linefollowing algorithm, I'd like to ask a few questions:
1) Is 15 degree step good or do I have to use halfsteps2671
2) What would be the best sensor placement2671
3) What would be the best algorithm for steering with stepper motor2671

Edit: Also approximately what would be the highest stable degree of the steering2671
