Timing Specifications

ParameterSE254
Sampling rate (MAX)250 MHz
Embedded memory256 Mb
Streaming to computerNo
Configurable pre-trigger timeYes
Trigger outputNo
External trigger inputNo
Logic signals digital bandwidth¹50 MHz
Note

Due to the low-cost oriented architecture of the SE254, the the sampling rate of 250MHz my cause sub-optimal performance in cases of continuous clocks or continuously toggling signals (above 10MHz). However, the sampling rate of 125MHz is guaranteed to operate correctly is all cases up to the maximum sampling rate of 50MHz. The 250MHz sampling rate is preferred for sporadic signals, such as I2C or SPI, where the signal is not continuously toggling.

Logic Inputs Specifications

ParameterSE254
Number of channels4
Input impedance200 kΩ // 8 pF
Threshold groups1 (1 group for 4 channels)
Adjustable logic levels1.2V, 1.5V, 1.8V, 2.5V, 3.3V, 5V
Absolute maximum voltage on any logic input± 25 V
Logic input connector

Logic input probes use a standard 2.54 mm, 5-pin connector. You may also use your own wire harness to connect directly to your device under test. In this case, it’s recommended to keep wire length under 25 mm for signal integrity. Feel free to contact us if you need help with custom setups.

What's in the Box

  • SE254 logic analyzer device
  • 5-lead hook probe set (color-coded like ScanaStudio software)
  • 1 m Micro-USB 2.0 cable

¹ Logic bandwidth: This value refers to the typical maximum frequency of a square-wave signal that can be reliably captured and decoded with a clean edge and proper timing.
