Supported devices
ScanaStudio V6 drives the SE254, the SP259 series and the SP1000G series. The table below is what each device reports to the software, and it decides which parts of this manual apply to the instrument on your desk.

Every device offers the same range of capture depths, from 1 MSa up to 1 TSa in a 1-2-5 series. What limits a long capture is the device's memory and the USB link, not this list.
Some of these rows need an explanation.
Threshold groups decide how independently you can set logic levels. On the SE254 one threshold applies to all four channels. On the SP259 the nine channels are split into three groups of three, so you can watch a 3.3 V bus and a 5 V bus at once. On the SP1000G the threshold is set per probe and is a voltage you choose rather than a preset.
Trigger engines are the number of independent trigger conditions the device can hold. Two engines, A and B, allow the sequences described in Trigger. The SP1036G and SP1054G report one: on the multi-group models only engine A is wired to the bus that carries trigger status between groups, so the A/B sequences are not available on them.
Industrial inputs are the receivers on the SP259i, which capture a bus directly rather than the logic either side of a transceiver: CAN, two RS485, two RS232 receive lines and LIN. See Configuring the device.
Devices V6 does not drive​
The SP209, the SQ series, ScanaPLUS and Scanalogic-2 are no longer produced and are not driven by ScanaStudio V6. Each has a page under Products, Discontinued products, covering its hardware and the version of ScanaStudio to use with it.
The SP209 and SP209i still appear in ScanaStudio's device list as demo profiles, so the software can open a workspace shaped like one. There is no driver behind them: a real SP209 plugged into this computer will not be found.
